چکیده

Abstract. In this study, the hydrate kinetics for CO2 gas was assessed in treating highly saline water at 3 MPa and 275.15 K to acquire perception towards recovery uptake of desalination purpose. The experimentation performed using a stainless-steel reactor by implementing isochoric (constant cooling) technique related with deionized system. study discloses that forms quicker deionised 75 mins achieving as 0.0575 mol/mol 65.7% opposed 83.5 0.0505 45.5% 2.8wt% sample. Hence it is evident existence salts slightly inhibits formation but still produces higher percentage compared conventional technologies. results from are useful design efficient desalination.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

The carbon dioxide-water interface at conditions of gas hydrate formation.

The structure of the carbon dioxide-water interface was analyzed by X-ray diffraction and reflectivity at temperature and pressure conditions which allow the formation of gas hydrate. The water-gaseous CO2 and the water-liquid CO2 interface were examined. The two interfaces show a very different behavior with respect to the formation of gas hydrate. While the liquid-gas interface exhibits the f...

Layering Behavior and Axial Phase Equilibria of Pure Water and Water + Carbon Dioxide Inside Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes

We have studied the phase equilibrium and layering behavior of the liquid phase in water and water + CO2 systems inside single wall carbon nanotubes. The system containing pure water was examined at temperatures between 274 and 500 K. At low temperatures and close to the wall of the nanotube, the formation of layers enclosing the liquid phase was observed. Upon addition of CO2, gas−liquid equil...

Experimental Determination of the Temperature Suppression in Formation of Gas Hydrate in Water Based Drilling Mud

The aqueous mixtures of light gas molecules under low-temperature and high-pressure conditions are candidates to form gas hydrate clathrates. The formation of gas hydrate may lead to various problems and extra charges in natural gas production and processing. The presence of hydrate crystals forming a stable solid phase can potentially block the wells, pipes, and process facilities. To avoid su...

Enthalpies of Dissociation of Pure Methane and Carbon Dioxide Gas Hydrate

In this study the enthalpies of dissociation for pure methane and pure carbon dioxide was calculated using a hydrate equilibrium data obtained in this study. The enthalpy of dissociation was determined using Clausius-Clapeyron equation. The results were compared with the values reported in literature obtained using various techniques. Keywords—Enthalpies of dissociation, methane, carbon dioxide...
